When I saw this clip, I was certain there was some context I was missing. Maybe Grant Cardone was being sarcastic or speaking as someone else or something.
Nope. I found the full video and he actually followed up this clip by saying it’s also impossible to live on $2.7 million a year because that’s how much just maintenance on his plane costs.
My immediate thought after watching this was that Cardone hates the troops. Ninety-nine percent of the U.S. military makes way less than $400,000 a year. Should our brave troops fighting for our freedom be embarrassed as husbands and fathers? The streets are saying Grant hates America.
My second thought was that I’ll offer my services to Grant to do a vlog series for his YouTube channel where I attempt to live on a $400,000 salary paid by him. It’s obviously going to be tough — impossible, according to Grant — but I’m willing to give it the old college try and see if I can come out the other side. If I complete the challenge successfully, I think I should get to try the $2.7 million the following year.
I don’t know that I’d want to work with such a hater of the troops, though. The way I see it, you can love Grant Cardone or America, but not both.
