Elizabethtown man uses TikTok to land job on CSI Las Vegas — by playing dead – WLKY Louisville

Josh Nalley says he started his hobby out of boredom.
“I had nothing else to do on my days off,” Nalley said.
So, why not play dead in random places and record it? The Elizabethtown resident started posting videos of himself playing dead so he could get the attention of Hollywood.
It took about a month for Tik Tok users to find Josh’s profile, Living_Dead_Josh, and skyrocket his videos to viral status. However, his sights were set on something more.
It took 321 days before CSI Las Vegas saw his post and notified him that they wanted him on the show.
“It was an amazing feeling,” Nalley said.
Two weeks later, he flew out to Los Angeles and was featured in the show. He played a dead guy in the morgue.
Actress Sara Amini, who plays the chief medical examiner on the show, said Josh ‘slayed’ his role.
“I mean honestly I was right there, examining him super up close, and I was like, this guy plays dead really well,” Amini said.

Nalley said, while it was the opportunity of a lifetime, his career in playing the dead guy on TV is hopefully not over.
“I know my followers want me to keep playing dead. So for the time being, I probably will try to get on another show or movie,” Nalley said.
Josh’s episode of CSI Las Vegas will air on Thursday, Nov. 3, on CBS at 10 p.m.
