BROOKLYN, Ohio
Suspicious TikTok: Traymore Avenue
On Oct. 13, a Traymore Avenue resident went to the police station to report a suspicion online account involving her daughter.
The woman told an officer that someone had created a false TikTok account and posted photos of her daughter without her consent.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Assault: Westbrook Drive
On Oct. 12, police were dispatched to a Westbrook Drive address regarding an assault.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said she had gotten into a physical altercation with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, who had been staying there for a few weeks.
They had left the apartment before the officer arrived. Police are investigating.
Shoplifting and more: Brookpark Road
On Oct. 12, a Walmart employee called police after observing a customer stealing merchandise from the Brookpark Road store.
An arriving officer located the thief, who not only had store items, but was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The Cleveland woman was arrested and cited for all three offenses.
Shoplifting: Brookpark Road
On Oct. 12, police were dispatched to Walmart after a loss prevention officer observed a customer stealing merchandise.
An arriving officer located the suspect, who was attempting to steal items valued at more than $99. The Elyria woman was arrested for theft.
Stolen steak knives: Ridge Road
On Oct. 12, a Bed Bath and Beyond employee called police after observing a customer steal knives from the Ridge Road store.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said the suspect had taken a special steak knife, as well as a set of knives, before leaving the scene in a red Ford hatchback.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Road rage damage: Ridge Road
On Oct. 12, a Parma driver came to the police station to report that a road rage incident led to a suspect damaging his vehicle while it was parked in a Ridge Road parking lot. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
