The 83-second song is famous for its line, “I took the wock to Poland.” Wock is a reference to Wockhardt, a popular brand of cough syrup used in the drug lean. In the lyrics, Lil Yachty discusses “fiending” and “battling all my demons.”
According to Genius, the song is about Lil Yachty consuming wock in Poland. The track was recorded in 2021, but after a snippet leaked on Aug. 31, Yachty eventually released it exclusively on SoundCloud on Oct. 4. Today, it’s available across streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
Despite the song’s serious subject matter, the internet is expert at stripping things of their original context to generate memes.

The Bank of England has signalled privately to lenders that it was prepared to extend its emergency bond-buying programme beyond this Friday's deadline if market conditions demanded it, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing three sources. The report comes after the British central bank's governor Andrew Bailey said on Tuesday that he had no intention of extending purchases of bonds beyond Friday when they are due to stop. Specifically, the central bank was seeking to address problems facing pension funds.

Some 477 pilot whales have died after stranding themselves on two remote New Zealand beaches over recent days, officials say. None of the stranded whales could be refloated and all either died naturally or were euthanized in a “heartbreaking” loss, said Daren Grover, the general manager of Project Jonah, a nonprofit group which helps rescue whales. The whales beached themselves on the Chatham Islands, which are home to about 600 people and located about 800 kilometers (500 miles) east of New Zealand's main islands.
STORY: Prosecutors in Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday dismissed their murder case against Adnan Syed, the subject of the hit podcast “Serial”. Syed had served more than 20 years in prison over the 1999 killing of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee. A circuit court judge had vacated the now 42-year-old's murder conviction last month, after a probe identified problems with the case, and left prosecutors to decide whether to retry him. On Tuesday, the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, Marilyn Mosby, told a news conference that she’s ordered the case against Syed be dropped. That’s after touch DNA testing was done on evidence, including Lee’s clothes and shoes, for the first time. Mosby said DNA was found on Lee's shoes, but it was not Syed’s. And that the investigation into who killed Lee remains open. Mosby apologised to the Syed and Lee families, saying: "The criminal justice system should be based on fair and just prosecution, and crux of the matter is that we are standing here today because that wasn't done 23 years ago," adding that, "Today, justice is done." Syed had all along maintained he did not kill Lee, who was 18 when she was strangled and buried in a Baltimore park. The podcast "Serial", produced by a Chicago public radio station, drew national attention to the case in 2014. Mosby said Syed will now need to go through an innocence certification process, for those who are wrongly convicted.
