A devoted daughter came to her dad’s rescue and saved his business, all by posting a TikTok video.
From bad elves to evil pickles, MaKayla Burns and her dad create what they call “horrornaments” at their home in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
“It rolls off the tongue — horrornaments,” the 24-year-old said.
Her video shows her dad stressing about a lack of orders this year.
“It’s the middle of December and my dad is currently walking around the warehouse wondering why we aren’t busy with orders,” Burns says in the video.
After the video went viral, business took off for them.
In two days, they had as many orders as they’d gotten the rest of the year.
Burns recorded another video of her dad’s reaction to the support.
“He had tears in his eyes,” she said.
“You saved this business,” her dad said. “You saved this business. You have no idea how tickled I am. Oh my God.”
