As October marks Black History Month, TikTok are taking the opportunity to shine a light on Black creators and celebrate the importance of Black heritage and culture in Ireland.
They have listed some of the incredible creators and trendsetters from Ireland’s TikTok community:

Makeup artist, content creator and Cork native Jade Foley shares makeup videos to her 68k followers on TikTok. Along with her makeup content, Jade shares fashion and hair videos. She recently shared a makeup demonstration video while speaking about Black History Month. Jade previously featured on RTÉ’s The Glow Up.

Tolu Ibikunle is a content creator with a following of more than 24k who rose to prominence following a viral video with two friends imitating a Dublin accent that was featured on The Late Late Show. Posting from Lusk Co. Dublin, Tolu’s content includes a range of content from entertainment as well as her experiences of being a Black woman in Ireland.

He has a diverse collection of videos from taking his BeReal to taking part in topical online trends. RTÉ Lifestyle readers will remember Bill from his time representing Ireland in the RedBull Paper Wings World Finals in Austria.

African-American jazz singer who settled in Donegal has close to half a million followers who engage with her for her videos on sustainable living, cooking, gardening and life in her homestead. Her content about her passion for tallow (rendered animal fat that can be used in cooking, soap-making and skincare) are particularly popular.
